This all started after some duration ago; WWE constantly start changing his or her pay-per-view names to these quite easy and boring names (ex Critical Four Way, Money in your banker, etc).
This is nothing brand new, though. WWE has been changing their PPV names ever since the company opened. But the difference now could be that these names have been recently very dumbed down, they're not creative and worst of most, they sound very odd. Now the big question is why are they doing this? Effectively, the answer is actually quite simple, to improve buy rates for his or her current target audience.
If an individual already haven't noticed, WWE's new potential audience is kids. Their product isn't longer TV-14. WWE wants for making the names of their monthly PPVs as simple as you can, so that their target audience purchases them on a monthly basis. The more important reason, even though, is to increase the acquire rate for these PPVs mainly because WWE is too lazy for you to properly build hype and anticipation for the kids.
In other words, because WWE is too lazy to manufacture a quality product (it doesn't make any difference who they target, it matters on the standard of the product they're offering) they're while using the names of the PPV in promoting themselves. WWE quickly changing every one of these names seems like a cheap effort to improve the buy rates for most of these PPVs.
The problem with these new PPVs is that we now have way too many of the same gimmick matches for a passing fancy night. For example, Hell within a Cell featured 3 different Hell inside a Cell matches. That's way overdoing the item. Another example was TLC: Furniture, Ladders & Chairs. A Hell in a Cell match was previously a brutal feud ending go with. Gimmick matches like Hell inside a Cell and Tables Ladders & Chairs weren't originally created to be used the way they're currently are. This is the reason they aren't working.
When WWE's very first classic PPV was removed, Survivor Sequence, many fans were enraged that your 22 year old traditional PPV may be removed. The reason Vince offered was very unsatisfying. He said they chose to cut Survivor Series because the buy rates to the show are steadily decreasing every year.
In reality, they're decreasing because WWE doesn't place in the proper effort to hype a superb quality PPV. The Survivor Series PPV are often very entertaining if WWE puts in the proper effort to promote, nonsense, and build it. Vince hasn't revealed the name with the PPV that will take Survivor Series place. But it's bound being something boring as their current group of names.
It's sad that because WWE is too lazy to produce a quality PPV, they're changing the names coming from all their monthly PPVs; many that were very entertaining.
