| Description |
English: The eight solutions of Apollonius' problem. The three given circles are shown in black. The eight solution circles are shown as four pairs (blue, magenta, yellow and grey). In each pair, one solution circle encloses the given circles that are excluded by the other solution, and vice versa. For example, the larger blue solution encloses the two larger given circles, but excludes the smallest; the smaller blue solution does the reverse.
Ελληνικά: Οι οκτώ λύσεις του απολλώνιου προβλήματος. Οι τρεις δεδομένοι κύκλοι είναι χρωματισμένοι με μαύρο. Οι οκτώ λύσεις φαίνονται σε τέσσερα ζεύγη (μπλε, ματζέντα, κίτρινο και γκρι). Σε κάθε ζευγάρι ένας κύκλος περικλείει του δεδομένους (μαύρους) κύκλους που αποκλείει ο άλλος και αντίστροφα. Για παράδειγμα ο μεγαλύτερος μπλε κύκλος περικλείει τους δύο μεγαλύτερους δεδομένους κύκλους αλλά αποκλείει τον μικρότερο, ο μικρότερος μπλε κύκλος ακριβώς το αντίθετο |
