In mathematics, a Clélies is a curve parameterized by

<math>x=a \sin({m\theta}) \cos({\theta})</math>

<math>y=a \sin({m\theta}) \sin({\theta})</math>

<math>z=a \cos({m\theta})</math>

A curve of this type is confined to the surface of a sphere of radius <math>a</math>, which is obvious from the parametric equations for the surface of a sphere. When <math>m=1</math>, this is Viviani's curve.

The curve was named by Luigi Guido Grandi for Clelia Borromeo.
