| On July 1, 1960, Renison became an [[affiliated school|affiliated college]] with the University of Waterloo, having the right to offer courses and undergraduate programmes in Arts and the Social Sciences for credit towards the [[Bachelor of Arts]] degree of the University. It has also developed programs in East Asian Studies, Studies in Islam and a post-B.A. Bachelor of Social Work program as well as a new Master of Social Work degree offered on-line with an emphasis on health. It has an English Language Institute, a Renison Institute of Ministry, and is home to the University of Waterloo's Confucius Institute.
