This template calculates escape velocity &#039;&#039;v2&#039;&#039; of a spherical body of the mass M and radius R:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;lt;math&amp;gt;v_2=\sqrt{\frac{2 \times G \times M}{R}}&amp;lt;/math&amp;gt;.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
G is the [[gravitational constant]]. The template should be used in the following way:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;lt;nowiki&amp;gt;{{v2|M|R|PRE}}&amp;lt;/nowiki&amp;gt;,&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
where M is body&#039;s mass in 10&amp;lt;sup&amp;gt;21&amp;lt;/sup&amp;gt;&amp;amp;nbsp;kg, R is radius in km and PRE is the number of digits after decimal point in the result (default is 3). The result is expressed in km/s.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Example (escape velocity of [[Titania (moon)|Titania]]): M=3.526{{Esp|21}}&amp;amp;nbsp;kg, R=788.9&amp;amp;nbsp;km.&lt;br /&gt;
